A great question I was asked a little while ago was “Why would an attractive woman living in a big city ever use the internet to meet a guy?”
On first glance, it DOES seem kind of bizarre. We all know that women are “hit on” in regular life, be it on their way to work, when they are out with friends, at a club, etc. And an attractive woman would have even more of this, so it would seem like the last thing a sane woman would do is seriously put up a profile on a dating site when she’s bombarded by men already in regular life. Today, to a woman, these things either mean the guy has no clue about modern dating, or is desperate. Either way, it signals to her that it’s a guy who isn’t a winner. But chocolates and flowers are just the TIP OF THE ICEBERG when it comes to double standards.
Most guys, if out with a woman, will cater to her EVERY WHIM, including things that make no sense. For example, you may be out with a woman at a café, and she’ll ask you to get her the straw, the magazine at the rack to read, the plastic fork, ask you to bring her order, etc, etc. Now, if it was a guy, you’d probably tell him, “Hey dude, get it yourself”. |

And if you think this is all about men having good looks, you're wrong. There are countless examples of men without *looks* who attract the hottest women. (Take for example some of the beastly rock stars out there who have dated nothing but supermodels.) And if you think it's all about wealth, wrong again. In my research, I studies the biographies of several guys before they were famous or wealthy. What's interesting is that many of the men were dating sexy women BEFORE they became famous or wealthy. You see, when it comes to attraction, men have far more flexibility in their ability to attract women, (as opposed to women who count on their looks) as long as the men have the right PERSONALITY. |
